Organic Vegetables Grown with Love

How We grow

We are a small scale, certified organic farm with a focus on building macro and micro bio diversity on our farm. From cover cropping our fields to increase soil health to replanting our wooded areas with native herbs, shrubs and trees, we strive to bring more microbes, natural predator insects, butterflies, moths, birds and other wild life to the farm. We have also been adding fruit trees, berries and other delicious perennials to our land in an effort to exapnd our offerings in the next five years.

Our  main tool is (wo)man power but we also have a walk behind tractor with a rotary plow and tiller for breaking ground and a flail mower. When possible, we skip the tilling and seed or plant right into an empty bed. We use a human powered transplanter, hand tools and battery powered weedwhackers, hedge trimmers and chainsaws.

Below is a general list of items we grow throughout the year, along with actual CSA orders from the season. Some are small, some are huge. That is the beauty of our CSA model. Some of the pictures were taken by Andrea, who is NOT great with a camera, others were taken by Tony, a professional :)

What We Grow

Our farm is about 7 total acres with 1.5 acres devoted to annual vegetable production 3.5 in pasture and nascent fruit orchard  and 2 acres in woods that we are currently cleaning up to replant

We grow year round but our CSA currently runs from June to November. We try to grow a variety of produce to keep our weekly shares exciting. Some items that take a long time to harvest or grow like peas, beans, broccoli, and cauliflower, we only offer a few weeks a year. Other crops like arugula, kale, chard, lettuce and carrots and beets, we try to have at least 60% of the weeks. The lists below are not exhaustive but gives a good idea of what to look forward to thriughout the season.
